Rapid Fire with Fabrice Martin

Freedoms veteran and fan-favorite Fabrice Martin, 2019 Roland Garros Finalist and No. 26 doubles player in the world, answered several out-of-the-ordinary questions ahead of the 2020 season. 2020 marked Martin’s fifth consecutive season playing for the Freedoms. In 2016, Martin was named the World TeamTennis Male Rookie of the Year and has since been one of the top doubles players in the league.

Q: Favorite band?

Fabrice: Snow Patrol

Q: Favorite singer?

Fabrice: Bob Marley

Q: What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen while playing tennis?

Fabrice: Well I got hit twice in the back of my head, from a serve, being at the net. So that was not funny at the time but when I looked at the video, it was pretty funny. It actually happened with Naomi Broadly in Philly. I got hit and that was fun to watch. For the whole season we watched it every day I think.

Q: If you could pick one food to eat for the rest of your life what would it be?

Fabrice: In N Out

Q: What’s your favorite non-tennis sport?

Fabrice: Surfing
